| This is the main website for Illinois State University. I created all of the graphics for this site. I designed
the original Photoshop comps and then converted them into
usable Web pages/templates.
I worked with a team consisting of a programmer and a technical
writer to aid in adding content, gathering feedback, developing
site structure, and more complex coding.
The three of us strived to develop this into an ADA
compliant site to comply with Federal government standards
(section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act). |

| I created this Web site for the actual department that
creates Web sites for the rest of the departments at Illinois
State University. (Did that make sense?)
I was able to break free from some of the usual restraints
of the University standards (colors, etc.) and in doing so
I had the opportunity to be creative and have fun with this
site. |

| I created this Web site for a digital photography studio and production printing facility called JMCPhoto & Digital Services in an effort to expand
services nationally and advertise new services that were only
known locally.
With the edition of digital services and the business expansion,
JMC is now able to cater to a wider range of clients and markets.
This Web site is also intended to be used as a tool of reference
to cut down on phone calls by publishing price lists online
and a map with directions to the business on the home page.

This is a Web site I created for a photography studio called 4 Seasons Photography.
This project was fun because, not only were my clients great to work with, I got to meet RoxE! She was a real treat ... and anybody that knows me knows I'm a sucker for a fuzzy face!!!
Anyway, my main focus with this site was to enable my clients to display their work digitally and to a broader market (namely people from out of town) as well as to perspective clients.

| This is the Web site for the iCampus Web portal at Illinois
State University. The iCampus Web portal is a network of personal
information and applications for Illinois State University
students, faculty and staff.
This site uses XML. This was my first experience using XML
and I found that it's really quite simple to understand.
I worked with a team of programmers on this portal site.
The goal of the portal was to allow userss to access mainframe
information such as class schedules, financial aid status,
class registration, etc. via the Web utilizing mainframe and
database integration.
The end result was a success and has simplified many of the
tasks listed above while making this information accessible
to the users 24 hours a day. |

This is the site for the Department of Health Sciences at Illinois State University.
When I took on this project, I decided to give their old site an entire overhaul. They needed an identity and that unified the Health Sciences department, but they also needed a bit of individuality for each of the five individual units within the department.
I created a new logo for the department along with a unified color scheme and identity that carries throughout their new site as well as their new print materials.

| This is the site for the Department of Geography-Geology
at Illinois State University.
This site was unique because the Department of Geography-Geology
has three sub-units. Because of this, the site basically has
three mini-sites within it.
The three mini-sites all have their own look and color scheme,
but I kept the layout similar to provide continuity throughout
the department's Web presence.

| This is the major up-to-date news resource at Illinois
State University. This site is updated daily because news
stories are published online as soon as they come in.
The "Headline" stories on site are also tied in
with the "Headline" stories on the Illinois State
University home page (which offers a similar look and feel
- and a similar "star" icon) utilizing database
integration. The "headline" stories are entered
into the database once and then identically published on both
sites.
This site was a huge succcess by creating a unified design
with a much better and more intuitive navigation system for
the users.

| This is the Web site for the College of Education at Illinois
State University.
For this site design, I wasn't given many perameters other
than, "Make sure you use red." (red is one of the
school's colors!)
I decided to photograph a book to use for the main graphic.
I then integrated the book into the college name, and the
client liked it so much it has become their official "logo".
The client also liked the site so much that they wanted another
of their sites (Special
Education) to have the same graphics with a different
color scheme. |

| This is the Web site for the Center for the Advancement
of Teaching at Illinois State University.
This site required a sophisticated and scholarly look and
feel. This site needed minimal graphics since it is so text
intensive, so I kept the design very simple but effective.
The client liked the design so much that they had me design
a bookmark to promote their great new Web site! |

|
| I created this Web site for the Board of Trustees at Illinois
State University.
They needed a very sophisticated and professional looking
site that reflected the University by using a red, white,
and black color scheme (the school's colors).
For this site, I kept the design simple and elegant. I used
a photograph of a very recognizable building on campus (the
white building in the lower left-hand corner of the site)
and carried it throughout the rest of the site.

| This is a Web site I created for an artist.
My intent was to display the work in such a way that the viewer got the feeling they were in a gallery setting and could see what the paintings would look like hanging in a gallery.
